چکیده

The technique known as multiple signal classification (MUSIC) is a semi-empirical way to obtain pseudo-spectra that highlight the spectral-energy distribution of a time series. It is based on a certain canonical decomposition of a Toeplitz matrix formed out of an estimated autocorrelation sequence. The purpose of this paper is to present an analogous canonical decomposition of the state-covariance matrix of a stable linear filter driven by a given time-series. Accordingly, the paper concludes with a modification of MUSIC. The new method starts with filtering the time series and then estimating the covariance of the state of the filter. This step in essence improves the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) by amplifying the contribution to the actual value of the state-covariance of a selected harmonic interval where spectral lines are expected to reside. Then, the method capitalizes on the canonical decomposition of the filter state-covariance to retrieve information on the location of possible spectral lines. The framework requires uniformly spaced samples of the process.

Estimation of harmonic interference parameters of surface-NMR signal using an adaptive method and residual signal power

Surface nuclear magnetic resonance (surface-NMR) method is a well-known tool for determining the water-bearing layers and subsurface resistivity structure. Harmonic interference is an inevitable interference in surface-NMR measurements. Accurate estimation of harmonic interference parameters (i.e., fundamental frequency, phase and amplitude) leads to better retrieval of power-line harmonics and...

Harmonic Frequency Estimation Based on Modified-MUSIC Algorithm in Power System

Abstract: This paper presents a new harmonics frequency estimation method. Unlike the conventional harmonic frequency estimation method (fast Fourier transform), the new algorithm is based on spectrum analysis techniques often used to estimate the direction of angle; the most popular is the multiple signal classification (MUSIC) algorithm. The drawbacks of MUSIC algorithm are concluded. Improve...

A Novel Sampling Approach in GNSS-RO Receivers with Open Loop Tracking Method

Propagation of radio occultation (RO) signals through the lower troposphere results in high phase acceleration and low signal to noise ratio signal. The excess Doppler estimation accuracy in lower troposphere is very important in receiving RO signals which can be estimated by sliding window spectral analysis. To do this, various frequency estimation methods such as MUSIC and ESPRIT can be adopt...
